Because of iron found in sand, a greenish colour is usually produced after mixing. It’s for this reason that factories try to find the purest form of white sand.
Benefits of using the lead when making crystal will result in heavier, shinier, more transparent and brighter crystal pieces However, with lead content, this also means the crystal will be soft & fragile. The lead present in the crystal gives it a glistening effect that’s highly valued through out the world.
With today’s environmental problems, the lead in crystal glass is often replaced by a substance called lead free optical crystal. This type of crystal is very flexible & malleable. The most beautiful piece of crystal art is in the form of a crystal rose.
When buying a crystal rose you can rest assured that no two will have a similar appearance, which only increases the attractiveness of each piece. Roses have always represented eternal love, but crystal rose need not mean anything in particular other than admiring the beauty of art immortalised in one of the world’s most beloved flowers. anyone ever seen a crystal that grew to form a rose with leaves and stem?
i have and i think it is beautiful, i unearthed it last year –thinking about selling it. it’s about an inch and 3/4 or so long.
Erm crystalls growing to look like roses don’t exist.
What might have happened is that the rose was petrified, and that the petrifying material happened to be some kind of gem. I know of a dinosaur skeleton made of opal and those things just look beautifull and if i were you i’d keep it. those findings are really rare.
