What is a easy to grow vegetable for Portland, OR climate?
I just moved here and don’t have much garden experience so i want to grow something easy.
I lived just outside of Portland for many years and grew every vegetable imaginable. You can grow anything you want and it will do well. The growing season may be just a little bit shorter than some areas of the country, but for the most part all varieties of veggies will mature and ripen no problem. I grew asparagus, potatoes, corn, onions, elephant garlic, beans, carrots, Tomatoes, squash, pumpkin, beets, peas, as well I had numerous fruit trees along with raspberries and blueberries… You’ll want to use vegetable “starts” available from local garden centers whenever possible. This will give you a headstart in the growing time. But, if you wish, you can also grow from seed by starting them indoors 4 to 5 weeks before the last frost date or sowing directly in the garden… Hope this answers your question and good luck!……

I want to grow vegetables,but I’m not that great of a gardener. What are some vegetables that are easy to grow?
We did our first garden last year and came to the conclusion that zucchini was the easiest. No matter what, it just kept spitting those things out. 
Green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions also were easy.
