Low Maintenance Garden
Best low maintenance flowers/plants for garden?

Hello,
i’ve never had a garden before, so am completley inexperienced. What plants and flowers would people recommend to plant? I don’t have a great deal of money to spend, and would prefer something that will be sort of capable of looking after itself. I live in the UK.

I started my garden a couple of years ago . So I wanted fast results .I planted a few white potato vines to start with some height .,passion flower vines and morning glory .They grow pretty fast and they don’t really need a green thumb .(i don’t have one ). Then I planted some azaleas ,also very easy to care for ,and bushes like like the purity Japanese pieris . I bought most of them at Wal mart (it’s the most affordable) and also at Home depot .Make sure you water regularly and keep snails out of your garden ,they can do real damage just overnight . Good luck!

Low Maintenance Front Yard – Tips to Help Cut Out a Lot of Time

These days, busy people appreciate having a low maintenance front yard. Rather than paying for professional services, why not consider trying to care for your yard on your own? Many lawn types are easy to maintain and the tips described below will help you to enjoy carefree and beautiful landscaping.

If you have less grass in your yard then you will cut out a lot of maintenance time right there. Mowing the lawn can take up a lot of time and energy so keeping the grass to a minimum is a great way to save on energy. Talk to a front yard landscaping and gardening expert about alternatives you can use to keep your yard looking good with more plants and minimal lawn area.

Some people elect to landscape with clover instead of grass. Using lawn types such as clover in your front yard landscaping is smart because it will save you money and time. You will not have to mow it very often at all, and a low maintenance clover lawn is even good in areas that are dry. They do well virtually everywhere. And best of all for those who want to get out there and enjoy their front yard landscaping, pests hate clover and there won’t be much to weed.

Watering the yard can be difficult as well. That is why many people incorporate automatic irrigation systems into their front yard landscaping designs these days. This can save you a lot of time and money. This is one of the simplest ways for you to keep your yard looking healthy and well watered during the hotter months of the year. No more hooking up the sprinkler or having to drag out the hose. You can get a professional to design one of these systems for your yard design quickly and easily, or you can get a kit and do it yourself. I would recommend getting in a professional however, unless you have some background with this kind of thing. If you were to cause a leak then you could face some flooding and rotting, and neither of these is going to do anything for your front yard landscaping. Don’t turn your low maintenance yard into a high-maintenance headache!

Utilize a landscape design if you are starting from scratch, and investigate which lawn types are best for your climate. With a little planning, a low maintenance front yard will be yours to enjoy for many years to come!

What is a good hardy flowering plant to go with the fuchsias and geraniums in my small town garden?

I have a small, partly-shaded, town garden. I am looking for bright low maintenance plants that will last. I have been successful with fuchsias and geraniums but am looking for something else to complement them. Nothing that needs a lot of tlc as I travel a lot for work.

I hope this helps!!!:-)
