Old Fashioned Roses

Old Fashioned Roses
Rose. . . too old fashioned or classic and cute?

I’ve always adored Rose’s simplicity and understated charm. It’s a timeless classic that sounds sweet on a small child yet sophisticated on a grown woman. Rose is easily one of the most feminine names around

Is the name Rosabel just too old fashioned?

Personally I think it’s really pretty and cute, and uncommon so that’s a plus. Has many built in NN’s (Rose, Rosie, Bella, Belle) which is also nice. I like this name. Does it work for you? (btw I do prefer the -bel spelling to -belle it always has seemed more sensible and prettier. Isabel, Annabel etc.) :P

No, I don’t think it’s too old-fashioned at all! To me, Rosabel is feminine, fresh and playful, with a classic elegance about her that is divine. She has that fashionable -bel ending, but is less expected than Isabel or Annabel, and is a charming Rose name that isn’t heard as often.

I prefer the less frilly endings too.. I think Rosabelle would look a bit ridiculous, to be totally honest lol. Rosabel is a gorgeous gem of a name though!

EDIT: And as you said, the many potential nicknames are really playful and youthful, modernising and lightening the name that little bit more!

:)
