I need to help my kid make an “organic garden” science project for school. Any ideas, anyone? ?

@Boleyn girl : Huh?
@Boleyn girl: For chrissakes lady, you ought to be in the mental health/psychology section. This is ‘homework help’.
@Liz: Yes, but their teacher asked them to get it done.

Do a herb garden. At least it will be useful after the project. Get some seeds and plant them in a planter lined basket. This will look pretty in your kitchen after too.

how do you kill black widows with out harmful pesticides?

I have black widows in my garden compost bin. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to eradicate them without harmful pesticides? I don’t mind the spiders being there because I know they are beneficial, it’s the fact that I have two small children that put organic waste in the bin as well. Wolf spiders in the garden are welcome and I teach my kids to respect them. The bite from them would hurt but wouldn’t warrant a trip to the hospital like a black widow could. Any recommendations?

Here you go.
