Pink Rose
Please recommend a pink scented rose for me?
I’m looking for a hybrid tea, pink, highly scented rose, to grow in a (fairly) sunny Irish garden.
I’m fussy about the colour. I don’t want anything that is peachy or a very dark pink; I want something like this: http://www.rose-works.com/images/Danielle.jpg
Thanks!
My favourite is Rosa ” Gertrude Jekyll” it’s an absolute gem. Available online from David Austin and it’s so easy, great disease resistance, strong grower, wonderful perfume. Not as pointed as a hybrid tea but wonderful anyway.

Name of Old Pink Rose with Strong Rose Smell?
I have a large collection of roses in my yard. My favorite, a large (6-7 inches across) true pink, with intense sweet smell. My mother planted it probably in 1960s or 1970s. Does anyone have any idea what the name of this rose might be?
What shade of pink? Does it climb? Once blooming or does it bloom all season? Thorns? (Some roses, such as Zepherine Drouhin, are thornless).
I think the best way to find out what rose you are growing would be to post a photo on the HelpMeFind.com site and ask an expert there.
If that doesn’t work, there’s always the Peter Beales Rose Forum. Great advice there on all your rose questions.
Good luck & Happy Gardening!
