Preserving Roses

A Feather Rose Makes A Wonderful Gift
The petals and leaves of feather roses are made of real feathers. Amazingly, they look and feel like the real thing but they will never wilt. Feather roses are available in a wide range of colors and make a perfect gift for birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and Valentine’s Day. For that matter, a feather rose may be given at any time of the year, not just for a special occasion.
Both the petals and leaves of a feather rose are made from natural goose feathers. Needless to say, upon touching a feather rose, you can’t help but notice how soft and silky it is.
Like roses made of precious metal such as gold and silver, a feather rose is hand made in a 36 step process. They are washed, steamed, disinfected, dyed, dried, trimmed and shaped, and then finally hand assembled. The colors on a feather rose are as luscious as the real thing and are available in just about every color of the rainbow. As a final touch, the flower stems on feather roses are made of hand-rolled paper or metal. In some cases, depending on where you make your purchase, feather roses are also lightly scented so they smell like the real thing. The beauty of having feather roses is that they don’t require the upkeep that real roses require.
Imagine the surprise the recipient of a feather rose will get when they are presented with these wonderful hand-crafted flowers? Given their life-like look of dewy-fresh rose buds, the surprise will only be heightened.
There is a time-honored tradition of drying roses simply because we do what we can to try and preserve them as long as possible, but drying them is a long and arduous process (especially when sand drying) and if not handled correctly or picked when they are in perfect bloom, the petals will simply fall apart. There is no longer any need to go through these types of labor intensive steps when roses made of feathers are so easily available. There are any number of online merchants selling feather roses, all with competitive pricing.
The gift of a feather rose is an ideal way to preserve special memories. For instance, if they are used in a wedding bouquet, and the bride wants to keep her flowers, there is no better way to do that than with feather roses. Roses are always very popular flowers when it comes to major events like weddings and there is no reason feather roses can’t be used instead of real ones. Given how life-like they are, no one will ever be able to tell the difference unless the bride divulges the secret!

Does spraying roses with hairspray preserve them?
My husband got me a beautiful arrangment of roses for my first Mother’s day this year and I would like to preserve a few of them. We both have heard that spraying hairspray will work, but don’t know anyone that has actually tried it. If there is anyone that has tried this method, please let me know how it worked for you and exactly how you did it. Thanks!!!
YES WORKS WELL, ALSO TIE THEM TOGETHER FROM THE STEM AND HANG THEM UPSIDE DOWN( DON’T BE SHY ON THE HAIRSPRAY)
