Rose Topiary
How do you make a Fresh Rose Topiary?
Get a styro or hydro-foam ball and floral picks or toothpicks from craft store – cut stems of roses leaving enough to wrap wire from floral pick, or you can just wrap nub with stiff floral wire and insert to cover ball. You can carry one as a bouquet by anchoring a loop of ribbon, or place on stalk for a tree style topiary.

Need help with wedding flowers! Please help with color, style, and flower choice!?
I’m getting married in Sept. I’m doing all my flowers for my wedding, including corsages, boutineere’s, bouquets, and centerpices. I’m probably using roses. My bridemaids dresses are going to be dark red with a light beige color sash. I need help with what color roses to do for their bouquets. For my bouquet I was thinking of using the bi-color roses (the white ones with red tips) or either white/ peach. My dress is strapless and hasn’t much designing at the bottom. Should I do a cascade or round bouquet? What color roses should I do for the topiary centerpieces?? I was thinking maybe peach and white, but I really want the black magic roses somewhere in the wedding because they match the bridemaids dresses. If ya’ll know of any good websites or have any good pics or any advice, please do help out!
What I would do is get roses in the same shade as the bridesmaids dresses and then add white stephonitis, soft pink roses and some green ivy but in a bouquet with white ribbon wrapped around the stems not a cascade. For you I think bi-color roses which you talk about is great, with a pure white orchid in the center of the bouquet. But the peach bothers me. Peach does not really go with red. I would add rosy pink roses instead with white stephonitis with ivy in a cascade. Then centerpieces could carry your color scheme too. Boutineers should be red for groomsmen and white for the groom, preferably Lily of the Valley and white rose with a touch of green. Mothers should get corsages that match their gowns. Make sure you use a good florist because roses do not keep as do other flowers. They tend to wilt. So take that into consideration. Good Luck to you.
