Star Rose Quartz

Star Rose Quartz
Could anyone give me some information about rose quartz-I’ve bought a necklace as a gift and want to include?

Just wondered if anyone could give me a link or some info-I’ve read that it’s something to do with Taurus which is the person’s star sign I’m giving the necklace to.
I would like to have something about it that I can put in with the necklace
Thanks

This is the only information I could find on Rose-quartz and Taurus:

Rose quartz has been used as a gemstone and as other ornamental and religous objects for thousands of years.

Historically, it is a symbol of love and beauty.

The name quartz comes from the Saxon word querklufterz which meant cross vein ore.

The astrological signs of rose quartz are Taurus and Libra.

Rose quartz is said to balance the emotions, thus giving inner peace and harmony, and to enhance one’s sensitivity to beauty, art and music. It is also said to calm aggression and resentment while increasing self-esteem and self-confidence, and to enhance one’s compassion, patience and forgiveness. It is said to enhance your capacity to love others and yourself.

Rose quartz is said to help treat depression and to assist in weight loss. It is said to give a clear soft complexion and to prevent wrinkles. Rose quartz is also said to aid the proper functioning of the kidneys, adrenals, genitals, liver, lungs and heart, and to increase fertility and protect against radiation

Hope this was helpful.

What Are The Birthstones By Your Zodiac Signs

Each of the twelve star signs also known as Sun signs of the zodiac are associated with particular crystals and gemstones. Astrologers believe that the power of your zodiac birthstone can promote your positive characteristics and balance the negative aspects of your personality.

Wearing, carrying or sleeping near the birthstone linked with your star sign can enable you to pick up the vibrations associated with that constellation and help you contact deeper levels of consciousness within yourself.

Birthstones and the Zodiac Constellations are associated with ruling planets and birth stones are also associated with months of the year, and so with the signs of the zodiac there is an overlap and some stones can be used for several months and others can appear in more than one zodiac sign. cutting rose quartz for star effect?

Asterism in quartz (as well as sapphire and ruby, which are both varieties of corundum) is caused by the presence of abundant microscopic needles of the mineral rutile that are oriented with their long axes parallel to the prism faces of the hexagonal crystals of these minerals. The rutile needles preferentially reflect light relative to the matrix mineral. Not all samples of rose quartz have rutile inclusions in sufficient number to create a “star”.

If there are enough rutile inclusions, the “star” figure will be centered on the “c” axis of the the quartz or corundum crystal. The “c” axis is the “long” axis that is parallel to (i.e., doesn’t intersect) the 6 prism faces.

Unfortunately, unlike corundum, rose quartz does not form nice, large, euhedral (i.e., with nice faces) crystals, which makes it almost impossible to determine the crystallographic orientation of a piece of rose quartz from it’s crystallographic morphology. Furthermore, it’s almost impossible to see the asterism in an unpolished piece. Your best bet is to tumble the rough and look for asterism under a bright, single source of light.

The reference below discusses asterism in the context of corundum, but the same ideas also hold for rose quartz.
